Continuing on with our day we saw the above ground church that had paintings on the walls from 1500s and beautiful courtyard. Then on to our accommodation where there were lots of stairs stone then wood. The view out the roof window was the spire. So cool. Dinner in the square below was great with such beautiful w**es. Lovely atmosphere. We decided not to go to the restaurant up the lane that just got 2026 Michelin star as the set menu was €180 per person yes!! That is $360 NZ per person and NO W**E included in that price 🤯

We stayed in this gorgeous little village yesterday St Emilion in the Bordeaux region. It’s a medieval town with Europes only underground church 38 metres long and 12 metres high all underground. Built in 1200s 😳
The food the w**e the history and a beautiful day was on show 🫶🏻
