Had a play around with making some pi discs today.

These seemingly simple discs are a very ancient design from China. In Chinese culture, jade is seen as the stone of Heaven, with the pi disc often being described as a symbol for Heaven.

I've enjoyed being back in the workshop this week, and hope to be back in there more often over the coming months to get new stock ready for the summer market season 💚

This little beauty is number one of three bracelets I was commissioned to make for a trio of brothers.

I was asked by their mum to make a set of bracelets, something different, as the boys already have necklaces. I was given creative freedom to come up with a special design, too, which is always an honour and makes me feel trusted as an artist.

Behind the design: each of the three segments in this twist bracelet represent one of the three brothers as an individuals. The twist as a whole represents not only the genetic relationship the brothers share, but the bond they all have with each other, that only brothers can know.

A big thanks to my customer for allowing me to share the story 💚

My last commission order of 2025 is off to Big Sky Country in the States tomorrow 🦅

I find it rather serendipitous that my last commission of 2025 was this little Koru. The Koru represents new beginnings, so to see out 2025 with this small but mighty piece gives me hope for the new year ahead.
