I tried a different technique on this pouch. Sewing the strips together one way, then cutting them into strips the other way and moving them around to make an interesting patch work pattern. Interfaced with padded polyester and fully lined. Not perfect , but still a pretty bag

For those of you who don’t follow my personal page, here is my latest project finished yesterday . I don’t really have any experience doing this kind of patchwork, and had to keep,thinking it through as the pattern wasn’t designed for quilting . Anyway, I’m pretty pleased with it . Most of the fabric is Japanese cotton from in Levin. Sourced at the Auckland Quilters exhibition a couple of weeks ago.
