I've been a crafter all my life and have enjoyed many different forms of embroidery, knitting, crocheting, drawing, sewing - you should see my craft cupboard!!! I've always hated waste and have been an enthusiastic recycler before it was popular. These repurposed bike tube earrings are my latest foray and I'm loving it. I find it so relaxing and what gives me the greatest pleasure is that women re

ceive compliments when they wear my creations . Many women don't get compliments very often, so this is so special to me - that my work can brighten and encourage someone else. I get lots of feedback from customers and that is also so affirming for me. Each piece of jewellery is one of my babies and I feel so honoured when ladies choose one of them.

My recent design, the Kowhai, is now available. It comes in two sizes, 9.5cm and 7.5cm, it features black or gold stamens (the 9.5cm is photographed here).

The Kowhai is a New Zealand native tree that has bright yellow flowers. This is my interpretation on the flower.
