Conceptually based handcrafted women and men accessories that collaboratively works with traditionally skilled Nepali artisans.

Each piece is purely handcrafted by local master craftsmen, who continue to practice the old ways of making jewelry, which has been passed down from generation to generation. However, due of rapid commercialization, it
has become increasing difficult for small scale artisans to sustain their livelihood. One of the core missions of the brand is to highlight the immense ability of our artisans, while creating a sustainable line of jewelry that blends the contemporary with the traditional. AAMO is working to create an environment
that will allow traditional practices to be successfully passed down to the future generations to see, explore, practice and realize the endless possibilities within our nation.”

Our Story

“AAMO is Nepal’s first conceptual jewelry line inspired by all that is Kathmandu and beyond. Each piece is purely handcrafted by local master craftsmen, who continue to practice the old ways of making jewelry, which has been passed down from generation to generation.

Initiated right after the earthquake of 2015, the idea for AAMO was rather a long overdue passion project. The key idea was to create pieces that were a reflection of our deep rooted heritage while also balancing contemporary notions. We also focus on systematic documentation of an artisans work process which will allow traditional practices to be successfully passed down to the future generation, since there are no formal institutions to learn our traditional skills.

Rapid commercialization has made it increasingly difficult for small scale artisans to sustain their livelihood. One of the core missions of the brand is to highlight the immense ability of our artisans, while creating a sustainable line of handcrafted masterpieces that resonates and voices personal as well as social issues to create dialogue for positive change.
