"Phoenix -dramatic glass" is a youth exchange taking place at the art school Strykejernet, in Oslo the 11-24th of July 2012. The aim of Phoenix is a more open, democratic and understanding world, in the present and in the future. Young people from 16 different countries works to prevent tragedies like 22nd of July 2011 to happen again through learning about tolerance, multiculturalism, and learn t
o know each other. The participants are divided in two main groups; the design group use the glass from the bombing in Oslo as material to design a prototype which should be used for mass production as a symbol of Phoenix and what it stands for. The end result of the exchange are in two different parts; the ones working with drama are presenting a performance called "Little birds" and the glass designers are exhibiting their design and final product.
