Inspired by the Traditional Jewellery of South India, this ring draws inspiration from the grand earrings traditionally worn on women’s elongated earlobes. The design pays homage to a practice where date palm leaves were rolled into cylinders and gently inserted into the earlobe. Over time, the hole was gradually widened to achieve the desired size and length, with the leaves expanding when wet to facilitate a natural, painless dilation process.

In those times, elongated earlobes symbolized beauty and wealth—an unmistakable sign of grace and affluence. The philosophy was simple: the bigger, the better.
