Psytrance tends to attract nature-conscious, thoughtful, friendly people who want nothing less than a new humanist sociological paradigm on earth, centered around the mystery of the human mind, reality and psychedelic experience. Festivals often follow the principles of permaculture, and want to integrate as symbiotically into the biosphere as possible. It is an open space where anything goes and everyone is free to be themselves, wherever they are from or whatever they are into. People in the scene are one big family, filled with peace, love, unity and respect. Our name is The Psyrates because we are psychedelic music lovers and we are behaving like pirates cause we don't conform and the world is a sea to conquer; Carpe Diem. We love the sea and the beaches and bend outside the rules of others. We are not tamable and we defy society's rules and never compromise to conformity. We are basically survivors, outcasts out of choice. Just like the pirates used to be.
