There’s an opal for everyone 🎨

In my last post I told about 4 major types of natural Australian opal.

Let’s dive in a little deeper and find out which factors determine an opals value.

Take a closer look at body color, play of color, brightness, pattern, size and weight.

Now you’re familiar with what the market values in opals. But to be honest, the rarest and most expensive opals are not necessarily my favorite ones. As you might know, I have my own opinions on what is beautiful and I hope you do to. 😉

Make your heart do a little happy dance

When you know, you know. Sometimes you see something and you just know instantly that it is meant for you. I’ve learnt to trust this feeling, whether it comes to items or even people.

When I was selecting pearls, I saw this incredible tahitian keshi pearl and it called my name so loud I didn’t stand a chance. I could not resist, bought it and made a ring for myself.

Every time I put it on my finger I marvel at the beauty of Nature. And every time I feel grateful that I am the lucky girl who gets to enjoy this piece of art.

And to me that is exactly the way you should feel when you put a piece of jewelry on. It can be more than just decoration you get bored with after a while. It should make your heart do a little happy dance for years and years. 💞
