An eighteen-carat yellow gold “Djigar” cuff bracelet consisting of a wide band of five left-facing walking elephants, each with an emerald eye and set within a ribbed frame and against a satinated white gold background, open at the underside. Signed Cartier, Paris and numbered. In original case and invoice dated 1992.

A pair of fourteen-carat rose gold and silver drop earrings, each consisting of an entourage, centrally set
with an oval faceted blue sapphire (weights estimated in settings: 1.9 and 1.7 ct.) in twelve-prong mounts,
surrounded by a border of twelve antique cut brilliant cut diamonds in prong settings, on a leverback with
one antique brilliant cut collet set diamond. With
Austrian purity marks and French import marks. Made in Krakow, around 1900. With copy of certificate
from Carat Gem Lab, in which both sapphires are specified as natural, from Sri Lanka and unheated.

An eighteen-carat yellow gold ring, tapering in width toward the back, entirely with a textured surface, featuring three interlocking marquise-shaped motifs, each composed of collet settings; set with cabochon-cut peau d’ange corals and amethysts, each motif is centered with a brilliant-cut diamond. Francesco Pavan (Padua 1937-2025)was first educated at and later became professor at the Istituto Statale d’Arte Pietro Selvatico, also known as “The Padua School”. This art school is famous for the balance between art and technique. Against the general opinion both these disciplines were educated here together and therefore the students were more than capable to make their own designs: they were both artist and goldsmith. Francesco Pavan is one of the most influential teachers and designers of this Padua School.
