At the tomb of Salim Chishti in Fatehpur Sikri, intricately carved marble jali screens filter light into a quiet, shifting pattern.
These latticed forms balance openness and enclosure, allowing air and light to pass while creating a sense of intimacy and stillness. As the day unfolds, shadows move across stone, revealing a rhythm that is both architectural and atmospheric.
This interplay of structure and light forms the foundation of the Jali Collection.
In Jali Divine, these qualities are translated into fine, hand-linked elements, where movement, lightness and repetition echo the original screens.

Designed to soften light and guide the flow of air, these refined patterns created a poetic interplay of shadow, reflection and rhythm. This harmony between architecture and light continues to define the essence of the collection.

Last week, we welcomed a circle of friends, collectors and long-standing admirers of the house to Van Gelder Galleries for an intimate luncheon and the introduction of Jali Breeze in white gold.

In a relaxed and personal setting, guests discovered new creations alongside pieces from the wider Van Gelder collection, while conversations moved naturally between craftsmanship, gemstones, heritage and the stories behind each design.

With jewellery passing from hand to hand and moments shared around the collections, the afternoon unfolded exactly as we value most: warm, thoughtful and deeply personal.

Because fine jewellery is best experienced up close; In movement, in conversation, and among those who truly appreciate the artistry behind it.
