-HAIR COVERING-
When the BiBle says in 1Corinth 11:5
1 Corinthians 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
We will understand this Scripture better when we read
Verse 3 of that Chapter.
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Husband = Head of the woman.
Christ = Head of the Church.
So therefore we could quote verse 5 like this:
1 Corinthians 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head (Husband) uncovered dishonoureth her head (Husband): for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
Covering of her head (Husband) entails that she should be Submissive under her husband in Honour and respect.
This is Applicable to a family system; The wife comes under the authority of her husband; outside the Family system men don't have dominion or Authority over women (That will be gender discrimination)
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
For the Purpose of Functionality of the Family system

Paul was comparing the covering of a woman's head with the covering of her husband not in literal terms.
So what of a woman must cover her head, is it with a scarf?
What is her hair meant to do?
1 Corinthians 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
Ans: Her hair does the covering.
Culturally for the Jews and also for other cultures especially the Igbo Culture, A woman's hair been shaved off indicates that she has lost her husband..infact it was a taboo in the Jewish culture.
So the Covering of the hair with a scarf or other head gears is Just an accessory to fashion.
Whether you cover your hair or not and prophesy or Pray, it bears no significance before God.
But Prophesying and Praying as woman without covering (respecting, submitting) your head (Husband) is dishonour to your head (Husband) and is dangerous because it exposes you to demonic attacks.
Imagine disrespecting and not submitting to your boss in the Office or in the Army and you expect Followership and submission from your subordinate.
Matthew 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
