In Turkey 🇹🇷, street cats 🐱 aren’t seen as strays—they’re cherished members of the community. Especially in Istanbul, it’s common to see cats napping in shop windows 🛍️, lounging on café chairs ☕, and being lovingly cared for by complete strangers ❤️.
To help keep them fed, some Turkish cities have installed public cat-feeding kiosks 🥣. People can dispense food using coins 💰, while some machines reward recycling by giving out cat food when a plastic bottle ♻️ is inserted. It’s a simple yet brilliant idea that helps both animals and the environment 🌍.
But the cats aren’t the only clever ones around! 👀
Seagulls 🐦, famous for their opportunistic nature, have figured out a surprising trick. They’ve been spotted hanging around these feeding stations and mimicking a cat’s meow 😺🎶. By sounding like hungry cats, the gulls attract the attention and sympathy of passersby, hoping someone will dispense food—which the crafty birds quickly swoop in to grab! 😂🍽️
