The jade that doesn't get enough love 👇🏻

Serpentine Jade is one of China's oldest and most historically significant jade materials.

Known for its rich greens, waxy lustre and carvability, serpentine has been treasured for centuries and transformed into everything from ornaments and seals to intricate carvings.

Here's one of my favourite things about serpentine. It is sometimes known as the "People's Jade".

While jade has long been associated with emperors, nobles and collectors, serpentine made the beauty of jade more accessible. Its beautiful colours, versatility and affordability allowed more people to own and appreciate jade throughout history!!!

So very underrated, which is exactly why I'm so passionate about bringing it to more people 💚

A little pile of tradition 🤎

These scrunchies are made from 香云纱 and 宋锦, two traditional Chinese fabrics known for their intricate textures and beautiful woven patterns.

In the past, fabrics like this were commonly used by wealthy families and scholars, and were even seen in court garments and ceremonial textiles.

If you can’t already tell… I’m DEEEEEEP in my c-drama era right now 😂 I just love these 复古风 fabrics.
