Omega Constellation Grey “Ghost Dial”

An exceptionally original and highly collectible grey “Ghost Dial”. Its distinctive engraved pattern subtly appears and disappears under different angles of light, creating the ghost like effect that gives this dial its nickname. Produced in 1969, this piece features Omega’s iconic lyre-lug case design, well-loved among vintage collectors for its elegant curves and strong wrist presence. The case carries the “LL” hallmark inside the caseback, commonly associated with Omega’s lyre-lug case production during this era.

The watch retains its original silver dial with clean applied indices, Omega logo, and dauphine hands, giving it that balanced vintage look that made the Seamaster line so popular. Powering the watch is the legendary Omega Cal.564 chronometer movement, known for its smooth winding, quickset date function, and excellent reliability.

A beautiful late-1960s IWC timepiece featuring a striking and exceptionally rare pie-pan dial. While pie-pan dials are most commonly associated with vintage Omega Constellation models, they are seldom seen in IWC making this example highly collectible and far less encountered in the market.

The dial is further enhanced by an applied minute track and sharp baton hour markers, creating a clean yet dimensional look. Unlike the more common pencil hands found on many IWC pieces, this watch is fitted with elegant dauphine hands, adding an extra touch of refinement and distinction.
