Brief History of GM Rickie Low 9th Dan
-Born in the year 1951.
-Learned Shaolin kung Fu in 1962 to 1964 at age of 10 years old.
-At the age of 13, Practiced Japanese Judo from 1965 to 1966
-Started practice Taekwon-Do since 1967 under Korean Master and achieved 1st Degree Black Belt in 1972and 2nd Dan in 1974.
-Join ITF Taekwon-Do in the Mid 70's.
-Intensive Training in Korea in the Year 1982 an
d promoted to 3rd Degree Black Belt by Korea Taekwon-Do Oh Do Kwan and also obtained 3rd degree Black Belt .
-Participated and Won Medals in various Taekwon-Do Competition held in Malaysia.
- In 1984 promoted to 4th Degree Black Belt .
-Certified Umpire Class A and as International Instructor and Examiner.
- In 1989 achieved 5th Dan ITF and Held the post of President and Chief Instructor of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Taekwon-Do Association and Successfully organized and host the National Champioship and 3 inter School Tournaments from 1990 to 1993 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
-Coached the Kuala Lumpur Police HQ's police Personnel and Enforcement officers in 1991.
-Coached Malaysia participants for the 5th World Taekwon-Do Championship in Athens, Greece 1987 and 7th World TKD Championship Montreal Canada 1990 and as a judge in both the Championship
- Promoted to 6th Degree Black Belt in 1997 by MITF and 7th Degree Black Belt GTF in the Year 2002.
-Appointed as Treasurer General of MGTF and also Chief Instructor for Kuala Lumpur District in MGTF.
- Coaching the Inland Revenue Enforcement Officers in the year 2002.
-Promoted to 8th Dan Black Belt in MGTF and GTFI In 2008. GM Rickie Low has over 53 years of coaching experiences in Taekwon-Do and a Taekwon-Do pioneer Instructor in Malaysia.
