❤️ A Touch of July Love – A Celebration with Purpose

On 19 July 2026, Silver Jubilee Home for the Aged was filled with warmth, laughter and heartfelt moments as System Elite (M) Sdn Bhd, together with Emerges Multi-Tech Sdn Bhd, organised their annual CSR community outreach programme, "A Touch of July Love."

From 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., our residents enjoyed a memorable Sunday surrounded by caring volunteers, lively performances, delicious local delicacies and, above all, the joy of genuine companionship.

What makes this initiative truly special is the beautiful story behind it.

It all began with a group of close friends whose birthdays fall in July. While planning to celebrate their birthdays together, they decided to make the occasion more meaningful by reaching out to those in need. Their belief was simple yet profound — while we strive to move upward and forward in life, we should also reach outward to uplift the lives of others.

From a small birthday gathering among friends, "A Touch of July Love" has blossomed into an annual community outreach programme that celebrates kindness, compassion and the joy of giving back.

Now in its second consecutive year at Silver Jubilee Home, Organising Chairman Ms. Catt Oon Na Na, together with her July birthday friend Lt. Kol. Dato' Leena Lee Soch Khim and System Elite (M) Sdn Bhd, once again brought smiles to our residents.

Joining hands with event sponsor Emerges Multi-Tech Sdn Bhd, they thoughtfully planned a programme that reminded every resident they are loved, valued and never forgotten.

We were honoured by the presence of YB Phee Syn Tze, ADUN for Sungai Puyu, who acknowledged the increasingly important role of elderly care as Penang moves towards an ageing society. She commended the Home for its unwavering commitment in caring for the elderly and serving the community.

Representing Silver Jubilee Home, our Chairman, Dato' Ooi Hooi Kiang, attended the event together with General Committee members Ms. Ang Gaik Ling and Ms. Tan Sim Bee. During the official presentation ceremony, Dato' Ooi graciously received the mock cheques and the five food steamers on behalf of the Home, expressing sincere appreciation to the organisers and sponsors for their generosity and continued support.

In her welcoming and appreciation speech, Ms. Ang Gaik Ling conveyed the Home's heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Catt Oon Na Na and her organising committee for thoughtfully curating a programme that cared not only for the residents' practical needs but also for their emotional well-being. She shared that every activity reflected genuine compassion and reminded the residents that they are cherished, respected and remembered by the community.

The Home was deeply grateful to receive generous contributions totalling RM25,000, comprising:

💝 Emerges Multi-Tech Sdn Bhd – RM10,000

In addition, the Home received five food steamers, generously sponsored by:

Adding to the excitement, the organisers specially invited renowned Malaysian Mandopop singer Thomas Khor to perform at the Home. His heartfelt songs captivated the audience and brought smiles to many faces. The programme also featured energetic Zumba and Line Dance performances, creating a lively atmosphere that encouraged residents, volunteers and guests to celebrate together.

No celebration in Penang would be complete without its famous local delights. Residents and guests were treated to Laksa, Hokkien Mee, Char Kueh Teow, Ais Kacang, delicious desserts and a variety of refreshments.

To top it all off, N.419 Senses Coffee served freshly brewed coffee and refreshing juices, adding a special touch to the day's festivities.

Together with thoughtfully prepared goodie bags, ang pows, wonderful performances and meaningful interactions, every smile shared throughout the day became a treasured memory for our residents.

This was far more than a day of giving - it was a celebration of kindness, dignity and human connection.

It demonstrated that the most meaningful celebrations are those shared with others, where joy is multiplied through generosity and compassion.

2026年7月19日，银禧安老院洋溢着欢笑与温馨。由 System Elite (M) Sdn Bhd 主办，并获得 Emerges Multi-Tech Sdn Bhd 全力赞助的年度企业社会责任（CSR）活动 《A Touch of July Love》，再次为长者们带来充满爱与关怀的一天。

当天上午10时至下午2时，长者们与热心义工欢聚一堂，在精彩的表演、丰富的槟城美食及温暖陪伴中，共度了一个难忘的星期日。

❤️ 一个充满爱的起点
这个活动背后，其实有着一个十分动人的故事。
一群生日都落在七月份的好友，原本只是计划一起庆祝生日。然而，他们一致认为，与其单纯庆生，不如把这份喜悦分享给更需要关怀的人。

他们深信：
在人生不断向前迈进的同时，也应伸出双手，把爱与温暖传递给社会。
就这样，一个原本简单的生日聚会，逐渐发展成为一年一度充满意义的公益活动 —— 《A Touch of July Love》，透过实际行动传递爱心、关怀与分享的精神。

今年已是连续第二年在银禧安老举办此项活动。

在筹委会主席 温娜娜女士 Ms. Catt Oon Na Na、七月寿星好友拿督李抒芩中校 Lt. Kol. Dato' Leena Lee Soch Khim、System Elite (M) Sdn Bhd 以及活动赞助商 Emerges Multi-Tech Sdn Bhd 的精心策划下，为长者们带来了充满欢乐、关爱与感动的一天，让每一位长者都感受到自己被关心、被珍惜、也从未被遗忘。

当天，双溪浮油州议员彭心慈（YB Phee Syn Tze） 莅临出席活动，并指出随着槟城逐渐迈入高龄化社会，长者照护工作的重要性日益提升。她也赞扬银禧安老院长期以来坚持照顾长者、服务社会的精神与贡献。

代表银禧安老院出席活动的包括委员会主席兼银禧安老院信托委员拿督黄慧娟（Dato' Ooi Hooi Kiang），以及银禧安老院委员 洪玉玲女士（Ms. Ang Gaik Ling） 与 郑心美女士（Ms. Tan Sim Bee）。

在捐赠仪式上，拿督黄慧娟代表银禧安老院接领模拟支票及五台食物蒸炉，并向主办单位及赞助商表达最诚挚的感谢，感谢他们长期以来对老人院的支持与慷慨奉献。

欢迎词中，洪玉玲女士代表老人院向温娜娜女士 及筹委会表达由衷谢意，并表示筹委会早在数个月前便与院方深入交流，细心了解院友们的实际需要，因此当天每一项活动都经过精心设计，不仅照顾长者们的生活所需，更关怀他们的心灵与情感，让每位长者都深深感受到来自社会的爱与尊重。

当天准备了 槟城叻沙、福建面、炒粿条、红豆冰、甜品及各式饮料，让院友们大饱口福。 N.419 Senses Coffee 更现场提供香浓现煮咖啡及清凉果汁，为活动增添另一份贴心与温暖。

再加上精心准备的福袋、红包，以及义工们真诚的陪伴与交流，每一个笑容、每一次互动，都成为院友们最珍贵的回忆。

Every month, our residents gather together to celebrate the birthdays of those born in that particular month. Filled with joyful songs, heartfelt birthday wishes, laughter and delicious food, these monthly celebrations have become a cherished tradition that brings warmth and happiness to everyone.

We have truly been blessed that, for many years, kind-hearted Samaritans have generously sponsored our monthly birthday celebrations. Their unwavering support has enabled us to continue this beautiful tradition, and it is our heartfelt hope that, with the generosity of more caring individuals and organisations, we will be able to keep this tradition alive for many years to come.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Intel Malaysia! 💙

On 25 June 2026, the Silver Jubilee Home for the Aged was delighted to welcome 85 Intel volunteers from different departments across Intel's Penang and Kulim campuses.

Instead of spending their Thursday morning at work, these wonderful volunteers chose to spend it with our residents.
Together, they cleaned our wards and residential clusters, organised a fun and colourful batik painting session, and, most importantly, shared their precious time, laughter and companionship with our seniors.

While the cleaning and activities brightened our Home, it was the genuine interactions, heartfelt conversations and caring presence of the volunteers that truly touched the hearts of our residents. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can offer is simply our time and companionship.

Beyond their volunteer service, Intel volunteers and employees also extended their generosity through in-kind donationsand individual cash contributions to support the Home and our residents. These thoughtful gifts mean so much to us. They not only help us meet our daily operational needs but also serve as a powerful reminder to our residents that they are cared for, valued and remembered by the wider community.

The Silver Jubilee Home for the Aged has been privileged to host Intel volunteers over the years, and we are always honoured to be part of Intel Malaysia's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Your unwavering commitment to serving the community continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

这些志工放下繁忙的工作，在星期四上午来到安老院，齐心协力清洁病房及住宿区域，并精心安排了充满创意的峇迪彩绘（Batik Painting)活动，与长者们一起发挥创意、共享欢乐时光。更重要的是，他们用宝贵的时间陪伴长者聊天、互动、聆听故事，让老人院洋溢着温馨与欢笑。

虽然志工们让安老院环境焕然一新，但最令长者感动的，是他们真诚的陪伴、亲切的交流与关怀。对长者而言，一份真心的陪伴，往往就是最珍贵的礼物。
除了身体力行参与义工服务之外，Intel 的志工与员工也通过实物捐赠及个人现金捐款支持银禧安老院及院内长者。这份慷慨与爱心对我们意义非凡，不仅帮助安老院应付日常营运所需，更让长者们深深感受到社会大众的关爱、尊重与惦念。

Residents Working Together to Build a Better Home

At Silver Jubilee Home, we believe that every resident has something valuable to contribute. While our Home provides care and support, we also encourage residents to remain active, engaged, and involved in the daily life of the Home according to their abilities.

Recently, we held a simple appreciation ceremony to recognise residents who consistently contributed their time and effort between January and April 2026. Although all residents play a part in making our community a better place, special recognition was given to those who contributed the highest number of service hours during this period.

The awards were presented under the following categories:

Category 1 – Outstanding Contribution Award
Residents who contributed more than 300 service hours between January and April 2026.

Category 2 – Meritorious Contribution Award
Residents who contributed 200 to 299 service hours between January and April 2026.

Category 3 – Appreciation Award for Service
Residents who contributed 80 to 199 service hours between January and April 2026.

Our residents assist in a wide variety of tasks, including helping to prepare breakfast, supporting kitchen operations, cleaning and maintaining common areas, assisting the laundry department, watering plants, managing recycling activities, caring for our temple grounds, and helping with gate security duties. These may be simple tasks, but together they contribute significantly to the smooth running of the Home.

More importantly, this initiative is about much more than completing chores. It encourages active ageing, independence, responsibility, dignity, and a sense of purpose. Residents are empowered to continue contributing to the community, while remaining physically, mentally, and socially engaged.

The programme also helps the Home manage operating costs more effectively. Every task undertaken by our residents reduces the need for additional manpower, allowing us to stretch every donation further and maximise the impact of the generous support we receive from donors and the community.

We are deeply grateful to all our residents who contribute in ways big and small. Their willingness to help one another demonstrates that Silver Jubilee Home is more than just a place of residence—it is a community built on mutual support, shared responsibility, and respect.

长者携手共建温馨家园

在银禧安老院，我们深信每一位长者都拥有自己的价值与能力。除了为长者提供照顾与服务外，我们也鼓励大家在能力范围内积极参与院内事务，共同营造一个更有活力、更有归属感的生活环境。

日前，安老院举办了一场简单而温馨的表扬仪式，感谢长者们在2026年1月至4月期间积极参与院内服务与协助。虽然每位长者都以不同方式为家园付出，我们特别表扬了在这段期间服务时数较高的长者，以肯定他们的贡献与付出。

表扬奖项分为以下三个组别：

第一组：卓越贡献奖
表扬于2026年1月至4月期间服务时数超过 300小时 的长者。

第二组：积极贡献奖
表扬于2026年1月至4月期间服务时数达 200至299小时 的长者。

第三组：服务感谢奖
表扬于2026年1月至4月期间服务时数达 80至199小时 的长者。

长者们平日协助的工作包括准备早餐、厨房轻工作、清洁公共区域、协助洗衣部门、浇灌花草、资源回收整理、照料观音亭环境以及协助大门看守等。虽然这些都是简单的工作，却对安老院的日常运作带来很大的帮助。

这项计划不仅是为了感谢长者们的付出，更希望鼓励大家保持积极生活、培养责任感、建立归属感，并让长者继续发挥所长，保持身心活跃。

与此同时，长者们的参与也协助安老院节省部分营运开支，减少额外人力需求，让社会大众和善心人士的每一份捐助都能发挥更大的效益，帮助更多有需要的长者。

我们衷心感谢每一位默默付出的长者。正是因为大家愿意互相帮助、共同承担责任，银禧安老院才能成为一个充满关怀、尊重与温暖的大家庭。

🎓 A Joyful CSR Visit by INTI College Students

A joyful and energetic morning at Silver Jubilee Home yesterday as students from INTI College spent meaningful time with our residents through a CSR visit ❤️

The students brought plenty of laughter and excitement with singing performances, dancing sessions, interactive games and warm interactions with the residents that truly brightened the day for everyone 🎶

Besides the activities, the students also kindly contributed donations in kind to the Home. We sincerely appreciate their generosity, effort, and time spent with our residents throughout the visit.

Thank you to all the students for bringing such wonderful energy and happiness to our Home. We hope to welcome all of you again in the future 😊

🎂 June Birthday Celebration at Silver Jubilee Home 🎉

Our June birthday celebration was another meaningful gathering for the residents at Silver Jubilee Home, where everyone came together to enjoy a nice meal and celebrate the special occasion of our June birthday stars.

A Morning Filled with Care, Energy & Meaningful Moments 🤍

Last Saturday, we were delighted to welcome students from USM Persatuan Sains Farmasi through their Community Outreach Program (COP) CSR initiative to Silver Jubilee Home for the Aged.

Throughout the morning, the team actively engaged with our residents through cleaning activities around the residents’ living areas, health screening sessions, painting activities, performances and meaningful interactions that brought extra warmth and liveliness to the day.

Seeing the younger generation actively engaging and connecting with our residents made the visit even more meaningful and uplifting.

They also generously sponsored lunch for both residents and staff, prepared thoughtful goodie bags, and contributed various in-kind donations in support of our daily operations.

Thank you for your time, effort and generosity. Your visit brought positive energy and meaningful companionship to our residents, and we truly appreciate the care shared with our SJH family. 💙

充满关怀与温暖的早晨 🤍

上个周末，银禧安老院非常荣幸迎来来自 USM Persatuan Sains Farmasi 学生团队，通过 Community Outreach Program（COP）CSR 活动到访本院。

当天，团队除了协助进行长者生活区域的清洁工作外，也为长者进行健康检查，并安排了填色活动、表演及互动交流，让安老院增添了不少活力与温馨气氛。

看到年轻一代积极陪伴长者、与他们交流互动，也让这次活动显得更加有意义。

此外，他们也贴心赞助长者与员工午餐、准备爱心礼包，并捐赠多项日常用品给予本院，给予我们实际上的支持与帮助。

感谢你们的付出、关怀与陪伴。你们带来的不仅是帮助，更为长者们带来了一个充实而有意义的早晨。💙
