Cartier Must de Cartier Tank Ref. 590005｜1990s

First created in 1917, the Cartier Tank has remained one of the Maison’s most recognizable designs for over a century.

In the late 1970s, Cartier introduced the Must de Cartier Tank, bringing the iconic Tank design to a new generation through its signature Vermeil case.

This Ref. 590005 stands out with its less commonly seen Arabic numeral dial. Compared with the familiar Roman numeral Tank dials, the black Arabic numerals give the watch a distinctive Art Deco character.

Paired with blued sword hands and Cartier’s signature blue cabochon crown, the naturally aged Vermeil case adds the unmistakable character of a true vintage Cartier.

Introduced in 1945 to celebrate Rolex’s 40th anniversary, the Datejust went on to become one of the brand’s most enduring designs. The Jubilee bracelet, created for the original Datejust, has remained one of its signatures ever since.

This Ref. 116231 stands out with its pink sunburst dial, paired with Everose Gold Roman numerals, fluted bezel and two-tone Jubilee bracelet.

Depending on the light, the dial shifts from a soft silvery pink to a warmer rose tone — a distinctive combination that gives the classic 36mm Datejust a completely different character.

The owner reported low power reserve and an abnormal chronograph function.

The lubricants had deteriorated over time. The movement was fully disassembled, cleaned, and re-lubricated.

Chronograph Adjustment:
The 6 o’clock chronograph register was advancing even when the chronograph was not engaged. The chronograph mechanism was inspected and adjusted to restore proper operation.

更換機芯：原裝 Cal. 1332 石英機芯嚴重氧化損耗，無法單靠抹油修復，決定尋找同型號機芯作整體替換，令心臟重跳動

【Repair Log: Vintage Omega De Ville carrying love and heritage】

A watch’s true value often lies in the story behind it.

This 1970s Omega De Ville Quartz (Ref. 192.0028) was left behind by the late father-in-law of a Hong Kong client. Shipped to us via SF Express, he hoped to have it restored for his wife so she could wear her father’s loving memory on her wrist again.

Restoration Highlights:

Movement Replacement: The original Cal. 1332 quartz movement was severely oxidized and worn beyond simple servicing. We sourced a matching period-correct movement for a full replacement to bring its heart back to life.

Preserving Originality: At the client’s request, no polishing or refinishing was done to the case or dial, preserving all the authentic patina and memories left by her father.

Restoring a vintage watch is not just about keeping time, it‘s about preserving a cherished bond across generations.

This tribute reissue honors May 24, 1962, when astronaut Scott Carpenter wore a custom Navitimer during the Mercury-Atlas 7 mission. To read time in orbit, it features a unique 24-hour dial layout (the hour hand rotates just once a day).

This modern masterpiece is powered by the in-house manual-wind B02 movement (COSC-certified). The 41mm steel case is elevated by a luxurious 950 platinum bidirectional slide-rule bezel, offering a subtle, ultra-premium contrast against the black dial.
