Our team will create a unique piece of jewellery for you handcrafted in imported sterling silver or from brass and designed from the sounds of your name in Khmer, a Khmer word that is important to you or Khmer numbers. This bespoke piece of jewellery will be a fantastic reminder of your time in Cambodia or make a special gift for a friend or loved one. I trained as a silversmith in the UK in the f

irst instance at Portsmouth College of Art and later received an honours degree in 3D design at Manchester Metropolitan University. I am training young Cambodians to be jewellers.

This is Chanrey. She is the 2nd young woman that I trained. I was not allowed to take photos of the first young woman and I respect her wishes. This is when Chanrey returned to work after having her first child. We were based at the wonderful Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel . Our home for 2 years. Owned by the rather marvellous Carmel Tulloch . Did you know I have now trained 11 young women and one young man to be silversmiths? First I had to re learn my craft, and learn to solder Cambodian style with a petrol fueled blow torch. This is me back in 2013 making my first silver piece since University.

In My Name’s founder completed her training as a silversmith at Portsmouth College of Art in the United Kingdom and later received an honours degree in 3D Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is passionate about design and sharing her skills to train young Cambodians to become jewellers.
