Saomao social enterprise Saomao is a Cambodian social enterprise, we work with skilled jewellers and artisans, all our jewellery pieces are handcrafted, authentic and unique.

We work on a equitable finance model, we also have items in the Angkor museum shop. Saomao is a social enterprise that creates unique pieces of jewellery and silks. Our jewellery is hand crafted by our experienced jewellers in local workshop in rural areas in Cambodia. All of our jewellers have been provided with training by Saomao social enterprise and the full tools and equipment required to wor

k as a successful jeweller has been provided by us. We also provide all raw material sand deposits so that our artisans are take no financial risks. Our textiles are woven on hand looms in local weaving communities by using natural dyes and eco friendly and sustainable methods. We have a collection of wall hangings and cushions are on sale at the Angkor museum in Siem Reap. Saomao encourages its designers and artisans through trade and work ethics as it address social problems by improving people’s lives as we reach into communities. We are committed to the personal welfare and development of our employees and producers and encourage innovation and creativity through training; Furthermore, we consider as essential our employees quality of life and job satisfaction. Saomao works according to fair trade ethics and pays a liveable income we do not put profits above people and we give back to society and believes that handicraft production can contribute to poverty alleviation and improve the lives and social conditions of many people.
