Poetic Trends is a Kenyan based accessories brand that reinterprets traditional tribal jewelry in contemporary idiom where traditional designs and techniques are reinterpreted to offer new meaning and expression. When designing each piece, I aim to capture the rawness of tribal forms and the unpretentious rustic elegance of village life. Urvi’s fascination with tribal forms and ethnic styles is a

culmination of years of travel with her father, an African art and antiques collector. Stumbling upon a treasure trove full of old pendants inspired her to give the old new life. Passionate about African and Asian adornments, urvi collects ideas and raw materials from various tribal cultures around the world and then weaves the elements together in a style that is uniquely hers.
