That Missing Piece started in 2006 with the purchase of five sisal handbags and some handicrafts. Eight years on it has evolved into a community-based jewellery project partnering with Angaza Community Project in Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya. That Missing Piece trains disadvantaged ladies in the skills of jewellery design and manufacture, life skills and assists with income generation. That Missi

ng Piece's aim is to empower women. Training women in a skill that can generate an income is the most effective method of lifting a family out of abject poverty.
