Built on a mountain at an altitude of 362 meters, it is the site of a medieval mountain castle and the best place to view Tsuwano. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the houses at the foot of the gentle mountain and Tsuwano River flowing through it. The sight of the stone walls of the castle ruins floating in the morning mist is like a castle in the sky. I also recommend the season of autumn leaves.
There are no structures now, but the stone walls are almost perfectly preserved.

The beach and the sea are so beautiful.

The water is clean and dolphins are known to visit. The sunsets are also beautiful and have been selected as one of the best 100 sunsets in Japan.

I found a cute package of "Kibidango". Kibidango is appears in Japan's most famous fairy tale, in Momotaro. These are small rice cake-like sweets.
Momotaro, born from a peach, goes to Oninoshima island to exterminate ogres. Along the way, he gives it to a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant when they join him.
Although these kibidango have no effect in bringing animals into the fold, the adorable packaging and gentle sweetness were comforting to me.

We visited Kasado Island today.
It is a crescent-shaped island of less than 12 square kilometers in the calm Setonaikai Sea.
Visitors can enjoy nature in each of the four seasons.
This time, we were able to see the early blooming "Kawazu Sakura" and canola blossoms.
Our daughter Naoko has the kanji for cherry and canola blossoms in her name.
So we really wanted to visit there at this time of the year.
She seemed very happy.
