Processing known since the ‘600 in Japan, is achieved by working the fabric with ligatures or other types of fasteners, then immersing it in the color bath, which is fixed on the fabric except in the interrupted passages of the wire, creating so many abstract designs.
In the East, such as in India or Indonesia, there are a similar processing called tritik and tie and dye.
