The Eye of Wisdom
Among the most treasured ornaments of Tibet, the legendary Dzi bead is revered as a talisman of protection, prosperity, and spiritual strength. Crafted from agate and decorated with symbolic “eyes,” it occupies a unique place between myth, faith, and history.
In Buddhist tradition, the Eye represents wisdom, awareness, and the ability to see beyond illusion. It is a symbol of enlightened vision, guiding the wearer toward clarity and inner balance.
The story of the Dzi is also linked to the dramatic birth of the Himalayas. As the ancient Tethys Ocean disappeared and the Indian continent collided with Asia, rocks and sediments from that vanished world were lifted to extraordinary heights, creating the Roof of the World. Along these high Himalayan lands, often above 5,000 meters, Dzi beads became treasured heirlooms surrounded by mystery and legend.
Traditionally, Dzi beads were worn together with Red Precious Coral, carried from the Mediterranean through ancient trade routes. The union of the sacred Dzi and the living treasure of the sea created one of the most powerful and iconic combinations in Himalayan culture: wisdom from the mountains, vitality from the ocean.
Two ancient gifts of nature, one born of stone, one born of life, meeting along the highest paths on Earth.

Coral Netsuke in Corallium elatius
Originally conceived as practical toggles for traditional Japanese garments, netsuke evolved into one of the most refined forms of miniature sculpture.
These remarkable carvings are fashioned from Corallium elatius, a species prized for its delicate shades ranging from warm salmon pink to soft peach tones. Its compact structure and luminous surface made it particularly suitable for intricate carving, allowing artists to capture expressive details in just a few centimeters.
Suspended from the sash (obi) of a kimono, netsuke served as anchors for personal items such as to***co pouches, medicine containers (inrō), or purses. Over time, their practical function became inseparable from artistic expression, transforming everyday accessories into wearable masterpieces.
A perfect meeting of nature, craftsmanship, and storytelling: coral from the depths of the ocean, shaped into objects that accompanied their owners through daily life while reflecting culture, status, humor, and belief.

IMPRIMERE IL SIGILLO MADE IN ITALY SUL GIOIELLO ITALIANO
L’Italia è uno dei maggiori produttori mondiali di gioielli e rappresenta un’eccellenza riconosciuta ovunque per qualità, creatività e capacità manifatturiera.
Eppure esiste un paradosso normativo.
Oggi un gioiello prodotto in Italia e destinato all’esportazione può perdere una chiara identificazione della sua origine italiana, mentre un gioiello realizzato all’estero, una volta importato, può essere immesso sul mercato con il marchio dell’importatore italiano.
Una situazione che merita una riflessione e una revisione normativa.
✅ Più trasparenza per il consumatore.
✅ Maggiore tutela dell’origine dei prodotti.
✅ Più valore per il lavoro delle imprese italiane.
La proposta è semplice:
• indicare chiaramente l’origine estera dei gioielli importati;
• apporre sui gioielli esportati il marchio del fabbricante e la dicitura Made in Italy.
Perché il consumatore mondiale ha il diritto di conoscere la vera origine del prodotto che acquista e perché l’eccellenza italiana merita di essere riconosciuta senza ambiguità.
Il Made in Italy non deve essere nascosto. Deve essere impresso.
