Ellen Mote designs and makes each piece of jewelry by hand using traditional metalsmithing techniques, as well as antique dyeing practices. Ellen is focused on using sustainable materials, while ensuring the highest quality.

The Ellen Mote Patron Program opens for enrollment on Feb 3, 2026 at 11AM.

Here’s what you need to know:
🌀A six month long program that ends with participants getting to bring home their own piece of original art!

A new approach to collecting art:
🌀By making installments over a few months, it lowers the barrier to entry for new collectors so they can finally start living with art, and others to feel a connection to the artist (me!) and support my practice.
How does it work?
🌀Patrons opt in at one of three tiers, each tier corresponding to a different size work.
🌀Patrons will make a monthly payment towards a piece of work.
🌀At the end of the program patrons will get to select their piece in the order of sign up. First to sign up gets first selection!
🌀I’ll send monthly updates just to the patrons with updates on how the work is developing, as well as few little surprises along the way.
It’s for you if:
🌀You’ve been wanting to start collecting art but don’t know where to start.
🌀You’ve been wanting an Ellen Mote Original but don’t have the cash to pay for it all at once.
🌀You want to see my art career grow and be a patron of the arts!

2025 was the year I set a clear vision, and then stayed open as it evolved through highs, heartbreaks, growth, travel, and creative leaps I couldn’t have planned. Biggest lesson: clarity comes through action, so keep going, it’s just the beginning.

Nothing has shaped me like mothering has. I’ve been open about how it’s impacted what I create, but I rarely share the specifics of what the role means to me.

Mothering can be a contentious space with a lot of black and white ideology. As I grow, I’m learning to be more comfortable in the gray area.

In the early days of mothering, I tried to shape myself to look like other moms but it was draining and unfulfilling. Over time I’ve gained confidence in how I raise my children, and in who I am as a person as well as a mother.
