October 31 marked an important step forward for the exceptional Russo Cammei experience in China.
We are proud to have achieved a fruitful collaboration between our Arteca Museum and the Jewelry Museum of Shenzhen (the jewelry capital of China) and to have strengthened the relationship between our two institutions by signing a twinning agreement and inaugurating a permanent exhibition of cameos realized by masters Daniele Nicola, Esposito Francesco, Garofalo Gennaro, Mandile Giuseppe, and Ottaviano Pasquale inside the museum.
We would like to thank Romina Di Martino and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce in China, Insiderchina (Vincenzo Morano and Angelo Morano), master craftsman Ciro Esposito, and the Garofalo, Mandile, and Ottaviano families, who have contributed to this important step forward in promoting the art of cameo engraving in China.
