In vista della nuova edizione di Homo Faber a Venezia, oggi vogliamo ricordare la nostra partecipazione alla passata edizione, in cui presentammo la Coppa Arpie.
L'essenza di quest'opera risiede nella scelta del tema e nella complessità della costruzione che sostiene la coppa in cristallo di rocca scanalata ed estremamente sottile e raffinata nello stile.
In questo oggetto, adatto a una moderna Wunderkammer, convivono diverse abilità artigianali: la costruzione dell’alzata, con le figure mitologiche di arpie e fauni realizzate con la fusione a cera persa, si unisce alla struttura creata interamente a mano partendo da lastra e filo d’argento.
Proprio come nei capolavori antichi, l’intera opera è progettata per essere smontabile, con ogni elemento fissato con cura da viti, bulloni e cerniere. È un tributo all'alto artigianato, dove la perfezione della tecnica costruttiva diventa essa stessa parte integrante della bellezza dell’oggetto.

In anticipation of the upcoming edition of in Venice, we look back today on our participation in the previous exhibition, where we presented the Harpies Bowl.
The essence of this work lies in its evocative theme and the complexity of the structure that supports the bowl, which is crafted from fluted rock crystal—exceptionally thin and refined in style.
Designed for a modern Wunderkammer, this piece brings together diverse artisanal mastery: the construction of the stand, featuring mythological figures of harpies and fauns created through lost-wax casting, is seamlessly integrated with a structure handcrafted entirely from silver sheet and wire.
In the tradition of antique masterpieces, the entire work is designed to be fully disassembled, with every element meticulously secured by screws, bolts, and hinges. It is a tribute to fine craftsmanship, where technical perfection becomes an integral part of the object’s inherent beauty.
