A New Lifeline for the People of Sang-Ngag-Chhoeling Gewog...
Today marks a proud and memorable milestone for the people of Sang-Ngag-Chhoeling Gewog with the inauguration of the 7.5-kilometre blacktopped road from Depheling Moed to Bumpathang, Sadhuzhima.
The road connects four chewogs—Depheling Moed, Depheling Toed, Nidrupling and parts of Sadhuzhima, benefiting more than 300 households and over 2,500 people. It also provides vital connectivity to schools, temples and other important community institutions. For many families, this road has truly become a lifeline, bringing greater accessibility, convenience, economic opportunities and improved access to essential services.
The inauguration was graced by Her Excellency the Mejay Sherig Lynpo, along with the Second Secretary, Embassy of India in Bhutan, Dasho Dzongda, Dasho Dzongrab, and other distinguished officials and guests. The project was implemented with generous support from the Government of India under the High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP).
On this special occasion, Sang-Ngag-Chhoeling Gewog extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Government of India for this invaluable support and to all the concerned agencies, officials, contractors and individuals who contributed to making this important project a reality.
This road is more than just infrastructure—it is a pathway to opportunity, connectivity and a better future for our people. May it continue to serve the communities for generations to come.
Tashi Delek and heartfelt gratitude to all who made this milestone possible.!
