A timeless tale crafted in gold!
It is an old story. One that began 125 years ago. In 1894, Kunjippalu Thottan opened a small jewellery shop in Thrissur market. Each jewel was hand-crafted by fingers that for centuries had been drawing intricate patterns with gold. A traditional community of goldsmiths, an abundant source of knowledge and unparalleled skill. The purity of gold and the craft won the everlasting trust of men, women and families irrespective of their caste, culture or tradition. Over time, Thottan went on to become the most trusted jeweller in town. That trust was passed on to the next generation, and the next.
Some things do not change, even after generations. Every piece of jewellery continues to be hand-crafted by the same tradition of artisans. The quality of our gold is still scrutinized by experts and quality checked. Our designs are old and new; from our very own archives to the studios of some leading designers in India.
