The Vanguard was always bold, oversized, and sporty. This is its alter ego. Inspired by the retro motorsport cars — when RPM was read off a brushed metal dial and every rev mattered. The dial is your dashboard: a brushed finish like a turned engine plate, exploding numerals like old speedometer graphics, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock that echoes a rev counter, finished with Geneva waves swirling like tyre marks on asphalt.

The night sky, worn on the wrist - Discover the LVCEA Notte di Luce, translated to Night of Light

This is BVLGARI meeting one of Japan’s greatest living Urushi masters, Yasuhiro Asai. A collaboration born from two cultures obsessed with light, craft, and time.
Each dial is a 60-day work of art. By hand.

On a base of black Urushi lacquer, Asai inlays fragments of Mother-of-Pearl to recreate the surreal, starlit skies of Rome. No two dials are identical. The effect is dreamlike — depth, shimmer, and movement, as if the night itself is breathing.

This is where Rome’s romance meets Kyoto’s discipline and Swiss horological excellence.
