At this point, I’ve posted so many pearls that even I was starting to wonder… what else is left to say? 😄
But clearly, my love for pearls is still going strong ☺️

This one just felt a little different though.

Not because it’s pearls again — but because it’s the kind of piece you’d actually wear right now. No occasion, no overthinking. Just pick it up, put it on, and go. Easy, wearable, but still chic enough to feel special.

Very May energy somehow. Slightly over dressing up, but still wanting to look put together.

Just the other day, I was asked -
what are your non-negotiables as an entrepreneur?

For me, the answer was immediate:
Travel.

Not for the escape, not for the glamour but for what it quietly does.

Stepping away, even briefly, shifts something. It resets the eye. It refines taste. It brings clarity.

And when you work in design, especially in fine jewelry, that shift matters.

Because inspiration doesn’t come from sitting still. It comes from movement. From observing. From experiencing.

Travel, for me, isn’t separate from my work. It is a part of the process.

And in the end, that’s what I want every piece from 18 Carat House to feel like - considered, personal, and quietly distinctive ☺️

Not all pearls are the same and over time, your eye learns the difference.

The softness of a South Sea pearl.

The quiet uniformity of a button.
And the increasing rarity of what once felt abundant.

But beyond type, what truly matters is quality - the lustre, the surface, the shape, the way a pearl holds and reflects light.

A good pearl doesn’t shine loudly.
It glows.

When I design, I don’t just choose pearls, I compose with them.
Understanding their texture, their weight, how they sit against the skin, how they move together.

Each pearl is then paired with diamonds and colour stones in a way that feels balanced, not forced.

Because a piece only comes alive when every element within it belongs.

And that’s what makes it worth wearing
