The lotus flower is a profound symbol of purity, rebirth, and spiritual enlightenment, rising unstained from muddy waters to symbolize the triumph of spirit over adversity. Primarily sacred in Hinduism and Buddhism, it represents divine beauty, prosperity, and detachment, while in ancient Egypt, it symbolized sun, creation, and regeneration.

Bringing the pious Lotus into Jamdani weaving and offering it to the almighty for its beautiful creation. We've been working with this motif for the last 10 years with different variations.

Guided Travel

The Arunachal trip was a mix of culture, nature, and crafts. The main focus was to know the people and their life up close, unfiltered.
Lost count of the numerous waterfalls on our journey in Arunachal. These aren't tick-box sightseeing places. They need to be felt and absorbed. The whole landscape is scenic, like a viewpoint.

Special visit to the home of an Idu Mishmi hunter. Thanks to Uncle and Aunty for embracing us with immense love - they even dressed us in their traditional attire.

These special cultural trips strictly need responsible tourism - no jumping around, clicking random pics without asking, or interrupting conversations with constant clicks and videos, treating their hospitality and innocence like an entertainment show.
I loved the experience of the Mopin festival. It was such a homely, welcoming feeling with hospitable, warm locals. All guests were served local rice beer and smoked fish, etc. The music and the dance will make you tap your feet to the beats.

We couldn't believe the sighting of two Red Pandas, crossing in front of our Bolero, sliding into the roadside jungle, playing and giving us a look. Diktam, our guide, said he'd been on this route for so many years, but this was the first time he'd witnessed Red Pandas. They were like two cute, cuddly stuffed toys. That's in the Myodia range, a tiger reserve zone where no vehicles are allowed to stop.

The stay at the second Chief's house in Mon, Nagaland was an experience that allowed me to explore local life up close. Cooking in a woodfire kitchen and interacting with the lovely family will always be in my heart. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The old ladies, despite the language differences, communicated with me through actions and gestures.
