“NAVSACHA GANAPATI (The Emperor of Ichalkaranji)†is name of the popular Ganesh Idol of “YASHWANT COLONY GANESHOTSAV MANDALâ€. A small open area was under the yashwant processor’s grahanirman sanstha. Today known as data mandir maidan becomes the permanent place for the mandal since from the year 1985
to still today. The mandal get registered in the year of 1982 – 83 with registration no. MH 6082. The no. of members of the mandal increases as the yashwant Colony grows the mandal with full of strength & capability of around 100 Members were got registered. Today the mandal is known as Yashwant Colony Ganeshotsav Mandal with full of strength of around 500 members. During those days one thing comes into focus that this Ganesh idol is the NAVSACHA GANAPATI, means the god who fulfill the expectations of all devotees who ask it from the clean mind. This becomes very popular & the huge devotees become regular visitors to this Mandal. This ganapati listen each & every one who becomes under his umbrella. Many visitors came from various places only to see the idol. The idol became in the form of Dagadusheth Halawai was in the year of 1990 after this many people vows for there Problems. And after completing that they donate some money donation in the form of silver idols, aurnaments for idol, coconut etc. Today the idol wears around 45 kg of silver ornaments. This is because of only devotees. Members of mandal are very supportive to each other & their main intention is to do something better something different for their land and lord. The mandal today is very well known in Ichalkaranji, as well as in Kolhapur district. The devotees increase as the popularity of the mandal. Now every year the mandal becomes more and more popular and award winning In Ichalkaranji. This is the only mandal in Ichalkaranji who own’s Kolhapur jihla police award for best murthi in three consequent years. After few years from popularity of a Ganesh idol of vow power, it becomes difficult for the member’s to do decorations. So the mandal stop to do so. of devotees of Lord Ganesh increased substantially. The Entertainment programs and speeches, decorations were in the mandal and Garba for four days for every one from the colony. Every day some one famous personality visits to mandal for pooja and pray of Lord Ganesha.
त्याचीच प्रचिती म्हणजे मंडळाकडे जमा होणाऱया आर्थिक निधीमध्ये सातत्याने वाढ होऊ लागली. या निधीचा वापर विविध सामाजिक उपक्रमांकरिता मंडळ करीत असते. एकीकडे सार्वजनिक उत्सव साजरे करीत असताना दुसरीकडे मंडळ समाजसेवा, समाजप्रबोधनाबरोबरच शैक्षणिक क्षेत्रात गरीब, गरजू व गुणवंत विद्यार्थ्यांना घडविण्याच्या उद्देशाने वेगवेगळे उपक्रम राबविते.
