From Local to Global, Jangarh Singh Shyam’s art was not just an expression, but a revolution in dots, lines, and stories.

One of the rare voices to carry Gond art from the forests of Madhya Pradesh to global galleries, he redefined folk expression with a contemporary spirit. Chosen for the ‘Other Masters’ program at the Crafts Museum, New Delhi, and later invited to work at the Mithila Museum in Japan, Jangarh’s short-lived yet powerful career brought tribal tradition into modern light as bold, dynamic, and timeless.
