The majestic Guttapuslu.
The Guttapusalu is a traditional heritage necklace that originated in the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh. Gutta translates to a “cluster” and Pusalu means “beads” or “pearls”. Combined, Guttapusalu means ‘a bunch of pearls’. The Guttapusalu was favored by the queens and aristocrats of South Indian dynasties, including the Kakatiya and Vijayanagara empires. It served as an explicit symbol of high social status, immense wealth, and royal dignity.
