The wearing of jewelry should be fun and not only symbolize the prosperity and the social rank of the wearer. What is it made from?! Vision:
Yes, I dare to wear! Making jewelry with a personal touch, mood and style, something for everyone at affordable price! Hand-made jewelry is one of the most enjoyable things a person can wear. Each piece of hand-made jewelry is an expression of the taste and
the personality of the person wearing it. Each single piece of jewellery designed by Tamara is unique, is an original creation and is non mass-produced. The pieces are “one of a kind” necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants and key holders utilizing semi-precious beads
and stones, rare minerals, and nature’s treasures: corals, shells,
turquoise. Combining stainless steel nuts and washers with beads of ceramics, stones,
metal ornaments, glass, acryl and semi-precious beads amongst other
materials, Tamara creates an enticing collection of necklaces, bracelets earrings and key holders. By using the different materials Tamara gives the jewelry a modern look of both freshness and simplicity. The design of each piece of jewelry is a contemplative creation. Each of
them – their colour, the arrangement of the single parts and their position
in the complete design is inspired by her personal taste and artistry as
well as the result of patient handiwork. The jewelry of stainless steels nuts and the combination of nuts and beads
have a very special appeal, being on the one hand very masculine and on the other hand being both romantic and feminine. Many of these pieces in the so-called “industrial look” can be worn both by men and women. Tamara is a self–taught jewelry maker. Several decades ago, as a student of Archaeology and History in Jerusalem, she financed her studies and her daily life partly with jewelry making which she used to sell on the campus. She continued her studies in Anthropology and Folklore in Germany, made her
Ph.D. and worked for many years with her husband Tibor, a director and a cameraman, producing and writing dozens of high quality documentary films. After retiring, they moved to Cyprus and she restarted her jewelry making, adding new techniques and new ideas. Tamara lives in Trimiklini, a mountainous village between Limassol and
Platres. www.tamaras-jewelry.com
