No. 9 Market Square, Letterkenny…A Taste of the Atlantic Done Right

There’s something quietly confident about Number 9 in Letterkenny. A place that lets the food do the talking. The evening began with a risotto so rich and silky it could have been lifted straight from an Italian trattoria. Hands down, the best risotto we’ve ever tasted.

Then came the lobster 🦞 fresh, sweet, and unmistakably fresh & local, served with crisp wedges and a salad that looked like it had been gathered from a Donegal garden that morning. It didn’t disappoint, it reminded us why the northwest coast is Ireland’s most underrated foodie destination.

Number 9 isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a quiet celebration of Donegal’s bounty, plated with care and served with pride. Our only advice is to try it for yourself! You won’t be disappointed.
