It’s here!!! We are up & running with the MADE in Kilkenny exhibition!! It was such an amazing turnout at the official opening this afternoon. Thanks to everyone who came out to say hello and check out the stunning crafts on display. And here’s my contribution - a superb quality strand of purple Edison Pearls with a designer cut amethyst and rhodolite garnet pendant in sterling silver and 18 ct gold. There is a really clever hidden clasp in the pendant so the flow of those gorgeous natural pearls is uninterrupted around the neck. If I can nerd out for a minute 😛 these untreated purple Edison pearls are deliciously luminous with shifting tones of violet and rose. Thanks to for the incredible photos!!!

The excitement today waiting for the Postman! At last, the wonderful book on Mitsuro Hikime by and .kihara has arrived!!
This is such a beautifully produced book, which covers tradition and innovation, the pioneering work of several contemporary artists who also use this ancient Japanese lost wax casting technique, as well as a wax recipe and illustrated step-by-step instructions. This wonderful book is all about inspiration. And I am utterly and gratefully inspired!!

A client recently came to me with a beautiful request to make a pomegranate pendant for his niece. Something meaningful, personal, and completely unique.
What I thought would be a simple process unfolded into one of those studio pieces where every detail asks for a little more attention than you first expect! Slowly, it found its own balance, the way some pieces do when you stop overthinking and let the materials lead a little 🥸
The finished pendant is handcrafted in sterling silver with accents of 24ct gold applied using the ancient Korean Keum-boo technique.
The pomegranate “seeds” are three different sizes of faceted garnet beads, because one size just didn’t allow for that curved “I live inside this fruit” vibe 😆

✨ Behind every “effortlessly pretty” jewellery photo…there’s a tiny war being waged between gravity and your patience✨
This little sterling silver beauty with a peach morganite might look effortless…but getting it to pose for the camera? That’s a whole other story.
Swipe through 👉 to see it gleaming from every angle, looking like it just rolled off a vintage postcard…and then land on the real ‘hero’ of the shoot: a blob of sticky tack holding it upright while I try not to knock it over.
So yes, the glam might be subtle, but the struggle behind it is real! 😝
