Most of the work I do here at the studio is about family… but not all 😅 There was that time when I was asked to make a mould of an actor for a very specific part. The play was The Lieutenant of Inismore by Martin Mc Donagh, very dark and very funny! One of the characters gets shot in the second half and the body remains on stage for the whole second half…. Myself and my buddy .art went down to Rossmore one Sunday to make the mould with a very obliging actor. It was certainly an acting lesson for all of us… the mould took slightly longer to go off than it said on the tin and there was an element of minor panic with myself and Kay… not that you would have known it… we looked calm and collected on the surface 😅🙈
Weeks later we were invited to go and see it, it’s an excellent play! And the bust we created played an Oscar winning role because towards the end of the play I overheard someone behind me whisper to her companion “that actor has been on stage an awful long time” ⭐️
If you have an idea for a cast that’s outside of the norm don’t hesitate to make contact and we can have a chat about it and turn your idea into reality 🙌
