Gallardo & Blaine Designs

Gallardo & Blaine Designs Beautiful nature-inspired jewellery using natural stones and silver. We believe in beauty, and we are proud that we make our jewellery by hand in Dublin.

Every stone that we use is individually selected for it's quality and lustre. Inspired by nature, the ancient arts and a love of abstract form, the jewellery designed by Gallardo & Blaine is meant to be treasured forever, passed down through the generations...

I had a wonderful night at the PWC Image Businesswoman of the Year at the weekend. Where I was short listed ( lfor the third time šŸ˜…) for Creative Businesswoman of the Year. I didn’t win but it was such an amazing night meeting some incredible women and being inspired by all their stories. It’s also a reminder to stop and remember how far you’ve come and what it’s all about… Recently I’ve been doing a lot of that, getting back to the creativity I missed so much. Spending less time with spreadsheets (which I am no good at šŸ˜†) and more time at the bench making and designing. It’s my happy place, and I why I started the whole business. To share the joy of creativity. From my own work, to the work of all 40 independent designers to sharing the joy of making through . The crazier and busier life gets, the more I want to stop, sit down and make things with my hands. To me it’s the beauty of life and I am so grateful to be doing something that gives me so much joy every day ā¤ļø

It’s been such a joy seeing all the recent press for Gallardo & Blaine, and especially for my latest Madeleine Sculptural Jewellery collection, which launched as part of Dublin Independent Fashion Week in September.

From small styling edits to having my full story (and home!) featured in the Sunday Independent, it’s always incredibly touching to see my work shared in this way.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. ✨

Gallardo & Blaine are so happy to be returning to - The Contemporary Craft & Design Fair at the RDS this year. Gifted is one of Ireland’s biggest showcases of independent makers, bringing together incredible Irish designers, artists, and creators under one roof - the perfect place to shop local and discover something truly special. ✨

We’re so excited to share some of our newest pieces, alongside so many talented designers we admire. This year, we’ll also be showcasing Madeleine Sculptural Jewellery, a passion project that has been such a joy to bring to life.

We can’t wait to see you all there - roll on Wednesday! x

They say it’s an overnight success- of 20 years..

Talent is a pursued interest - and looking back on 25 years of my jewellery journey makes me proud of how far things have come…

Here are a few moments that shaped the path to where we are today:

2008 - After returning from Mexico, where I learned gold smithing and fell in love with gemstones, I began selling my work in Cambridge with my then husband (and other half of Gallardo Blaine) and best friend.

2016 - Taking part in craft fairs - of which I did for 15 years, shows such as Gifted, which eventually brought me to Dublin…

2017 - Seeing the Drury Street shop for the first time, back when we were just leasing the basement. It was a clothing store back in the day!

June 2017 - Launching The Collective. I was blown away by how warmly people responded to our small but mighty jewellery store!

2018 - Bringing my mum down to our basement shop when it was laid out for our new ring making workshop! Two trestle tables pulled out of the cupboard when the shop shut at night!

2017 - Our very first shop window display - simple, but filled with heart (and hiding the alterations shop behind us with a curtain!)

2019 - We took over the ground floor as well. Jackie, my right-hand lady was there through every step...

2019- Silver Works expanded to the ground floor as well..at the back of the store!

Fast-forward to today and we have four floors of jewellery - Silver Works on the first and second floors, and The Collective on the ground floor and The Collective Studio in the basement.

Most recently - I carved out time to return to my creative roots and launched a whole new range - Madeleine Sculptural Jewellery, a passion project that reconnected me with the joy of working in wax and the beauty that there is always something new to do in this field...

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey - The Collective wouldn’t be what it is without the people who supported, collaborated, cheered, and believed along the way.

I hope this encourages anyone chasing a dream to keep going. The road isn’t always easy, but with persistence and passion, you get there in the end x
