IFU, the Zulu word for cloud☁️

The last week, escalation in fighting has led to a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, a dark cloud has decent and we have all felt heavy hearted watching the terrible events unfold.

I have felt at a loss for how to help for the better, but I think that contributing towards humanitarian aid in challenging times is at least something we can do. I have two different "IFU" pairs of earrings now on Etsy, the proceeds of which will be donated to . They also have a Revolut account if anyone would like to make a donation 🇺🇦

Thinking of all those forced to flee, who are being torn away from loved ones, living in fearful and uncertain times. Let's hope that the grey clouds will pass and that light will prevail ❤️

HELLO AGAIN 🪄✨👋🏽

I hope it's not too late to wish everyone a happy new year?!🙊 I haven't been very active on here of late, much of January has been spent adjusting to a new phase starting a Masters which involves a lot more time on the books and a lot less time for my small biz🌛

I've thought a lot recently about why I started Ubumba in the beginning, for me it was to have a creative outlet at the start of lockdown and the small biz aspect developed from that organically. Moving forward, I would like to very much keep Ubumba as a creative space so that I can create when I can without the time pressure of monthly stock drops 😌

I sat down for the first time since before Christmas to create this slab and absolutely loved getting lost in the process 😍 I'm not someone who cuts corners, so by doing this at my own pace I'm keeping the passion and quality in my work until the time I can hopefully return to more regular drops🌟

Thanks to everyone for the amazing support since the beginning and for sticking around for the journey so far 🤗 As a little thank you gesture, I'm running a 20% off sale on my Etsy site for this last weekend in Jan, enjoy ☺️

THANK YOU EVERYONE- it has been such a pleasure to get your Christmas orders out over the last couple of weeks 💌

In a year full of ups, downs and unknowns- I can't tell you how much joy Ubumba has brought me! All thanks to YOU GUYS for your custom, collaboration, kind words, well wishes, and promotion of my small business over 2021. I am so grateful to each and every one of you 🙏🏼

This year, thanks to your orders over December, I have made a donation on behalf of Ubumba to Merchant's Quay Ireland, a charity who help people facing homelessness and drug addiction by providing essential resources. Together we have hopefully helped to make even a small difference in the lives of people who have fallen on hard times ❤️

I'll be closed from now until January but I would absolutely love to hear from anyone who receives Ubumba earrings over the festive season! If you get pictures you want to tag, even better 😉🎁🧑🏽‍🎄

I did promise you a stock drop in early December didn't I? 🤭

All pieces ready to go I'm just on the final stages of listing everything on Etsy (my favourite part 😅) so keep an eye out over the next week, hopefully it will be worth the wait ✨

For this next festive drop, I have re-purposed a lot of vintage pearls for something a little bit special 🤍

It was such a treat to have the fabulous (fellow Bray gal🧡) wearing Ubumba earrings on earlier in the week- a debut on Irish telly, I can hardly believe it 😍
