“След”

The work was created for the “Whisper of an Angel” exhibition at Частная Коллекция, Moscow, Russia.

Whisper of an Angel

The work started not with an idea, but with a trace…

I noticed a small natural mark in a piece of rose quartz. At first, it looked like a random imperfection. But the longer I looked at it, the more I could see the shape of feathers around it.

It felt as if a wing had touched the stone and then disappeared, leaving only a trace behind. That changed everything!

Until then, I had only worked with metal as a jeweller. But the open call requirements brought me to a stone-carving workshop in Saint-Petersburg, where I learned to work with stone for the very first time.

I felt like I had found a new way to express myself — a new language my inner artist could speak.

Then a nail appeared in the stone. At first, it was simply there to hold the piece in place. But it slowly became part of the work — a reminder of the moment of impact.

When the work was done, I still didn’t feel it was truly finished. So I took a mould of the stone, made it in wax and cast it in silver.
That’s when the trace became jewellery — a mono earring and a ring.

Inside the silver wings, a fine metal mesh holds a small piece of the stone, like a fishing net. It doesn’t hide the broken part. It keeps it in place.

For me, the stone fragment is like an experience we carry with us. It may no longer be a wound, but it remains part of our story.

This is what the whole series is about:
-A trace becomes metal.
-A fragment becomes jewellery.
-A moment becomes a memory.
-And something that first looks like an obstacle can become the beginning of something new.

For me, Whisper of an Angel is not really about an angel.
It is about the small things that quietly change us — intuition, care, encounters, choices and memories.
Perhaps an angel doesn’t always leave a wing behind.
Sometimes, it leaves only a trace.
And perhaps that is enough.

44 🎈

Another year older, wiser, and still wonderfully curious. I’ve traveled a long road already, I’ve met treasures 💎 in human form - people who have brightened my journey and shaped me!

Here’s to the adventures that are still waiting for me - because the best part of the story is always the next chapter!

Happy birthday to me!

She was a fighter and I took her ability to successfully overcome all her health issues over the last 18 months for granted.

I thought that when she faced “kind of the same issue” again just a few weeks ago she will be like “I’ve got it, don’t worry human”, but it didn’t work for her this time and The Assistant has crossed the Rainbow Bridge…

She didn’t make just one day to the international cats day which was on the 8th of August - probably because she didn’t need one as all her life was like a celebration every single day :)

I am devastated yet also happy she is no longer suffering. Was trying to buy some more time until she felt it was her time to go.

She was the best Assistant I could ever have wished for. She had quite the adventure during her almost 18 years of life full of love and joy and happiness! She didn’t mind moving from Russia to Ireland 8 years ago with me and it seemed as though she loved it here so so much! 🍀

She will be sorely missed!
She was a total inspiration and source of support to me and my business, always happy to see her human and generous with her purring!
She was curios, quirky and funny and loved croissants, olive oil and persimmons!

I know many of you have loved her too - I could tell it by the number of likes and appreciations she got from you guys - more than my jewelry could ever get 😂

Thanks to all her vets who helped her get through this - Sarah, Derek, Caítlín from Tullamore Pet Hospital , Jennifer and Olga from Moate Vet hospital and Lucy from Park Pets Veterinary Clinic in Kinnegad 💎

Rest in peace my precious 🤍

Today my client compared her bespoke ring to the “Heart of the Ocean” from the movie Titanic. And this got me thinking and led me to the idea that by exploring our inner ocean, we connect with something larger than ourselves!

Workspace: From Chaos to Creation

What I love about My workspace is that it isn’t pristine. It’s filled with scattered tools, tiny metal shavings, half-finished pieces, stones waiting for their moment.

There’s a kind of chaos in it—the kind that comes with creating something by hand, with experimenting, with letting the materials guide the process. The mess, the unpredictability, the imperfections—they’re all part of the process. But within that chaos, something beautiful happens - something that carries the energy of everything it took to create it.

Where You Take It

Once the jewelry leaves my hands, it becomes part of your journey. A ring that moves with you through everyday moments, a pendant that rests close to your heart, a piece that silently collects memories as time passes.

Maybe it reminds you of a place that feels like home. Maybe it marks a turning point, a decision, a feeling you never want to forget. Wherever you go, it goes with you—changing, evolving, becoming a part of your story.

Because in the end, jewelry isn’t just about where it’s made. It’s about where it belongs. And that’s with you.
