I haven't posted this piece for a while, but it's one of my all time favourites!

Over 220 years old, it was passed down through seven generations of daughters, was worn for royalty, and attended who knows how many parties over the centuries!!

The last owner got it as a young woman in 1938, and presumably had it for her lifetime. You never know why a piece leaves a family after so long, perhaps there were no daughters, or perhaps it fell out of fashion. But it's a piece that echoes with history and love - you can imagine how amazed each girl was when she got it at 16 or 17 years of age!!
