New release from ORIENT’s tough and functional M-FORCE series is a rugged outdoor watch featuring a simple compass bezel.

ORIENT announces the second release of three models from the latest generation of M-FORCE watches.
Launched as the flagship watch from the ORIENT Sports Collection in the past, M-FORCE watches are tough and “Massive” adventure watches that have captured the hearts of watch fans all over the world. The current and third M-FORCE generation was launched in 2020 to commemorate ORIENT’s 70th anniversary with a diver’s model. The watches in this second release are designed for the great outdoors with unique protection shield and a simple compass bezel, a handy feature to have when exploring.

The distinctive style and tough functionality of M-FORCE adventure watches have now evolved into a third generation after the series’ revival last year, inheriting the spirit of both the first generation (1997–2002) and the second generation (2011–2015).
The “M” of M-FORCE stands for three things:
- Mechanical: a mechanical movement that keeps time without relying on batteries or solar power
- Massive: a solid, durable watch equipped with shock-resistant exterior and interior structures
- Maverick: an original design that is both refined and daringly different.

This Diver 1964 model reflects its proud history, reproducing the original design of the Olympia Calendar Diver model, released in 1964, with an upgrade to contemporary diver’s watch specifications. This exceptional model combines a vintage design with ORIENT STAR’s latest high-performance in-house movement. The Diver 1964 reproduces the same features of the original model: a rotating bezel made of solid stainless steel, three-dimensionally cut indices, an arrow-shaped hand, and a case shape with sharp lugs, while offering significantly improved water resistance compared to the original model’s 40 meters. This new model’s water resistance has been upgraded to 200 meters - compliant with ISO standards for air diving watches. Refined qualities such as a screw down crown and screw case back, a dual curved sapphire crystal with a non-reflective coating, are also required to meet the standard of authentic divers’ watches. In contrast to the hand-wound movement in the original 1964 model, this new model has a contemporary automatic movement for increased usability. Another new feature is the indicator which shows the 50hours power reserve’s remaining running time. The comparatively compact 40.2 mm diameter case, the pure steel colored rotating bezel, and the black dial create an understated look, making it ideal for everyday use. The Diver 1964 model is available in a worldwide limited edition of 500 pieces and each watch has a serial number engraved on the case back.

This model is named as “The Retro Future Camera”, it blends the functionality of a mechanical watch with highly original design elements. The new Revival Collection models introduce modern features to the original ORIENT STAR Retro Future Camera watch that was launched in 2005 and has continued to be highly popular amongst its many fans across the world.In a digital age, the Retro Future Camera casts the image of a mechanical camera on a mechanical watch. As a modern twist on the original, it retains many of its features including the dial, inspired by a camera’s lens aperture blades; the bezel, mimicking an aperture ring; and the crown and crown guard, reminiscent of a winding lever; and the square top of a camera cover. New design touches further enhance the camera-like design, such as the case back that simulates a viewfinder.

ORIENT STAR announces the launch of two new Mechanical Moon Phase watch models from its Contemporary Collection featuring mother of pearl dials. Celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2021, the new models join the popular ORIENT STAR flagship, Mechanical Moon Phase, combining innovative designs with high-performance in-house mechanical movements.

The unique design was inspired by the concept of viewing the Earth from behind the Moon. The moon phase display at 6 o’clock represents the Moon and the semi-skeleton window at 9 o’clock as the Earth. The model features mother of pearl dials, drawing on the natural patterns of pearl oyster shells with their iridescent colors and depth to bring out a three-dimensional aesthetic. The beautifully colored dials, a distinctive feature of ORIENT STAR watches, give a unique luster, further reinforcing the overall concept of “the universe”. The model is powered by in-house automatic mechanical caliber F7M63 with 50-hour power reserve known for its stable precision and reliability. The intricate movement can be viewed through the transparent sapphire crystal case back. The case has water resistance to 10 bar and, together with the bracelet, uses high-quality SUS316L stainless steel with superior corrosion resistance. The modern case with its tasteful design details includes “Sallaz” polishing, creating a smooth mirrored surface which reflects without distortion. The result is a powerful edgy look with a contemporary feel, making these models ideal for any occasion whether business or casual. The designs of the ORIENT STAR 70th anniversary models take particular inspiration from the image of a nebula, providing a striking representation of the brand’s worldview—to produce watches that are shining stars. This limited-edition model of 700 pieces worldwide has a serial number and special 70th anniversary design on the case back.
