I’m fascinated with weapons, history and art, and blacksmithing gives me an opportunity to combine these three. I created this page to reach more people who likes traditionally handcrafted pieces of art. I make all kinds of edged weapons (like knives, swords, axes, et cetera...) but also armour (helmets, pauldrons, gauntlets) as well as jewellery (rings, necklaces, bracelets). Other than blacksmit
hing I'm also into woodcarving and leatherworking. I think everyone can find something desirable in my shop. What is Nidavöllum? In the norse mythology (one of my favourites of all) it’s one of the nine realms on the World Tree, Yggdrasil. It is the home of the dwarfs, who made all of the most legendary weapons for the gods (for example Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir). I thought it would be a great name for my workshop. Most people think it’s called Nidavellir, sometimes even Svartalfheimr, but that’s only in the english translation. In the Völuspá it’s mentioned this way: “Stóð fyr norðan, / á Niðavöllom / salr úr gulli / Sindra ættar”“North, on the Dark Field, stands the dwelling place of Sindri's kin, Covered with gold.”
