Standing here with these legends Joan Baez and Paul Simon contemplating our industry and our craft. They want to replace us with AI because AI won’t sing Deportees, or write ‘American Tune’. AI will do what the human on the input end tells it to do- Artists won’t. Every time we share an AI- generated photo or video or song, we are ringing the death-knell of our craft as we know it. Human innovation will always survive- but will the mainstream culture at large value it? Cherishing this very real moment of human connection after a beautiful concert.
