A beautiful cream turtle magnet with a smattering of iridescent glitter presented in a pretty Organza bag, along with 3 sweet almonds, (please refer to my descriptions for this unique and extremely romantic symbolism) and tied elegantly with ribbons of the colours of your wedding scheme. A very beautiful addition i have been adding tied to the favour ribbon is a genuine Swarovski Crystal Heart Pendant which your lady guests can attach to a necklace/bracelet of their own for a perfect and eye-catching keepsake! Other charm options are available including silver hearts and starfish/turtles for example. MEN’S WEDDING FAVOURS:
Let’s face it – most gents are happy with a wedding favour drink! So what better than our Ouzo or Tsipouro which are the Greek traditional, most popular and appropriate choices since you are getting married here in Greece. I have other miniatures available though if you prefer alternatives (see my latest post on my Wedding Favours page please). An addition attached to the bottles is our traditional Greek Eye which is said to ward off evil spirits and bring luck to your unity of marriage. This is available at an extra charge of €0.50 for a plastic eye or €1 for a better quality glass one. Other available options for the gents include bottle openers, lighters, Zakynthian glass paper weight and shot glasses (which can be included with the miniature) to name a few examples as keepsakes that they may use in the future and remind them with each use of your unforgettably beautiful wedding. CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY BUCKET WEDDING FAVOURS:
A wonderful bucket of various fun items to keep your younger guests occupied and amused so the adults can get on with having a great time without worrying about entertaining their little ones. These Favour Buckets, which have each child’s own name on them, generally include the following but can vary especially if you have any particular request/preference for any other items. Standard contents: an exercise book for drawing and crayons or pencils (no pens unless specified so as to avoid any “colourful accidents” on their wedding day attire), stickers, party horn blower, balloons, streamers, bubbles, additions/differences included for boys and girls are items such as bracelets, hair accessories, mini nail art kits, cars, playing cards, Zante rubber wrist band, lollies/sweets and of course, a mini soft toy turtle keyring/magnet. (Contents may vary subject to availability)

Caretta Caretta Loggerhead Turtle educational pack (potential project material for school), various and suitable items that are in the children’s buckets too... a Zakynthian glass paper weight and again a soft toy turtle keyring/magnet. Any personal preference ideas for your young guests are very welcome! All adult favours are beautifully presented in a wicker basket or decorative box (white, cream or ivory), sealed and decorated with ribbons matching your wedding colour scheme; the children’s bucket favours bagged transparently and also decorated accordingly; delivery by myself personally to you at your hotel, apartment or villa... either on your arrival or at your convenience. Lastly but not least i do offer discount depending on the number of favours required/ordered. SYMBOLISM OF TRADITIONAL GREEK ITEMS & ZAKYNTHIAN RELATED PRODUCTS INCLUDED IN ALL FAVOURS:
Sweet Almonds – The white symbolizes purity. The egg shape represents fertility and the new life which begins with marriage. The hardness of the almond represents the endurance of marriage and the sweetness of the sugar symbolizes the sweetness of future life. The odd number of almond is indivisible, just as The Bride and The Groom shall remain undivided. This romantic symbolism is entirely unique. Greek Eye – Known as Glass Eyes-of-God. Greek people believe that the blue eye represents the eye of God and often wear or hang it in their homes to protect themselves and loved-ones from the "evil eye" ( malicious jealousy). Ouzo – Ouzo is traditionally mixed with water, becoming cloudy white, sometimes with a faint blue tinge, and served with ice cubes in a small glass. Ouzo can also be drunk straight from a shot glass. Ouzo is traditionally served with a small plate of a variety of appetizers called mezes, usually small fresh fish, fries, olives and feta cheese. Ouzo can be described to have a similar taste to absinthe which is liquorice-like, but smoother. Tsipouro – Depending on the time of year, tsipouro is used either as refreshment or as a hot beverage, and depending on the time of day, it replaces the drinking of coffee or wine. Tsipouro and tsikoudia, like all alcoholic beverages in Greece, are generally consumed at social gatherings. Tsipouro is usually served in shot glasses with meze (a small side dish) such as nuts, dried fruit, raisins, cheese, olives, seafood, meat, halva (Greek “Sweet Cheese”), or paximadi (rusk). Caretta Caretta Loggerhead Turtles – The National Sea Park of Zakynthos is unique of its kind in the Mediterranean and was founded in 1999 for the protection of the ecosystem and the sea turtle Caretta- caretta. This national park consists of Laganas bay, the beaches where turtles lay their eggs and a stretch of land which connects the lake of Keri and two small islets, Marathonisi and Pelouzo. We are honoured to have such an endangered species exclusively choose our beautiful Zakynthos to nest. Systematic monitoring by ARCHELON has scientifically documented that the Bay of Laganas is the most important nesting site of the loggerhead sea turtles in the Mediterranean.
