Hello,

my name is Petros Tezapsidis, a fourth-generation jewel craftsman, carrying almost a century family tradition. M

y love for designing and creating was born when I first saw my grandfather using his tools with so much care transforming a hard piece of metal into a beautiful piece of art. There were so much to learn though, so I started studying Gemology at HRD in Antwerp, specialized in grading diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies. In combination with some correspondence courses at GIA, I ended up being a trained gemologist which actually is like having an international passport that takes you anywhere gems and jewellery shine. Wanted constantly to learn new techniques, I put my self into the world of micro-sculpture in wax, a brand new place for me where all of my ideas can become unique jewels. From high-end jewellery, using top-quality diamonds mounted on K18 Gold, to contemporary jewellery using all gems mounted on Sterling Silver.

Agates are nature’s artwork in stone form — each variety tells a different geological story through its colors, bands, inclusions, and patterns. From the delicate waves of Blue Lace Agate to the fiery iridescence of Fire Agate, no two pieces are ever truly alike. 💎🪨

🔹 Popular varieties include:
• Blue Lace Agate
• Botswana Agate
• Moss Agate
• Crazy Lace Agate
• Ocean Agate
• Fire Agate
• Dendritic Agate
• Sardonyx Agate
• Landscape Agate
• Onyx Agate

Every agate forms slowly inside volcanic rock cavities as layers of silica-rich fluids deposit over millions of years — creating these mesmerizing natural designs. 🌋⏳

Nature’s rarest sunset captured in a gemstone.
Padparadscha Sapphire is one of the world’s rarest and most valuable sapphires, admired for its extraordinary blend of delicate pink and orange hues — resembling the colors of a tropical sunset. 🌅💎

The name “Padparadscha” comes from the Sinhalese word for “Lotus Blossom,” inspired by the soft pink-orange tones of the lotus flower found in Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰

What makes this gemstone truly special is its rarity. Only a very small number of sapphires in the world naturally display the perfect balance of pink and orange required to be recognized as a true Padparadscha Sapphire.

Sri Lanka is internationally celebrated as one of the finest sources of authentic Padparadscha sapphires, treasured for their natural beauty, brilliance, and timeless elegance.

At GIC Gem Lab, we are proud to share the beauty and heritage of Sri Lankan gemstones with the world.

The world’s largest known fancy vivid blue-green diamond, known as the Ocean Dream, has officially sold for a remarkable $17.3 million at Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction in Geneva. 💎🌊✨

Presented at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues, the extraordinary gemstone immediately drew global attention from elite collectors and high-jewelry connoisseurs due to both its exceptional size and its extremely rare natural color.

Blue-green diamonds are considered among the rarest diamonds ever discovered. Their unique coloration is formed through an extraordinary combination of natural geological conditions over millions of years, making stones of this category exceptionally scarce — especially at larger sizes and high clarity levels.

What makes the Ocean Dream particularly historic is its classification as the largest known fancy vivid blue-green diamond ever recorded, placing it in an ultra-exclusive category rarely seen on the open market.

The sale also highlights the continued strength of the ultra-rare gemstone market, where exceptional colored diamonds increasingly function not only as luxury collectibles, but also as long-term stores of wealth for global buyers seeking assets defined by rarity and permanence.

At the highest level of jewelry collecting, pieces like this exist far beyond traditional adornment.

They become geological masterpieces — formed over billions of years and acquired by only a handful of people on Earth.
