Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, second generation goldsmith, Fani Gkounti, studied at Jewelry Design & Manufacturing School of Thessaloniki, and graduated from the School of History & Archaeology, at the Faculty of Philosophy, in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. tals developed into a passion for making jewelry, when she was a little girl and saw her father melting gold. Since then, she fell in love with the natural beauty of metals. Influenced by her studies in Archaeology, creates fine jewels inspired by ancient shapes and symbols, emphasizing on her home country’s rich history. Imperfect shapes with rough finishes make her creations look like they were made thousands of years ago. Combining artistry with traditional old-world craftsmanship, her jewelry line reflects her own personal style, simple and timeless, with a scientific twist.
